Fortunately, it is possible to test for most STDs, enabling you to communicate responsibly with sexual partners and seek treatment, if available. We asked people like you whether they had ever had an STD test, and, if so, how long ago. When we looked at the responses to our on-line survey, we found similar results. IMAGE 4 out of 5 people who filled out the survey said that they had gotten an STD test at some point in their life. Women were slightly more likely than men to have gotten tested. IMAGE Of the people who said that they had gotten an STD test, fully 50% said that their most recent test had occurred in the past year.
