With all the talk of Swine Flu in the air, more people are concerned with preparing for flu season this year. Walgreens is responding to this heightened awareness by making the flu shot available a month earlier than usual.

On Tuesday, the flu vaccine will be available for $24.99 at most stores, and by Sept. 8, you can get the flu shot at all Walgreens locations, something to do while waiting for the Swine Flu vaccine to come out in October. The flu vaccine will be available on a walk-in basis as well as by appointment until September 30^th. For those who want the protection without the shot, the FluMist nasal spray is available as an alternative for $29.99. Additionally, Walgreens plans to provide $1 million worth of flu shots to uninsured adults by providing vouchers on a first-come first-serve basis.
