If one of your New Year’s Resolutions for 2009 is to slim down, lose weight, and get a hot body, then these celebrity-inspired tips may be just what you need!
Kate Winslet has nude scenes in both of her current movies (“Revolutionary Road” and “The Reader”), and looked pretty damn good in both, but she told the U.K. edition of Elle Magazine that she keeps herself fit and slim just by following simple commonsense rules like, “Don’t stuff down chocolate biscuits.”
Kate’s exercise routine is also rather ordinary. While she tries to spend 20 minutes a day doing Pilates, she avoids the gym, preferring to exercise at home with DVDs.
For those of you looking for a slightly more accelerated hot body option, look no further than Jessica Alba. Jessica may have starred in The Fantastic Four, but she’s got a fantastic six… – pack, that is. If you're heading "into the blue" soon, you can get great abs like Jessica by adding the “reverse crunch” to your routine. Here’s how to do it:
1) Lie on the floor with your hands flat. 2) Bring your knees in towards the chest until they're bent to 90 degrees, with feet crossed. 3) Contract your abs to curl the hips off the floor, reaching your legs up towards the ceiling before lowering back down.
When put together, this small, but effective, movement should feel like you are using your abs to lift your hips, not to swing your legs.
